After an enemy falls down I do this makes the character not move forward ( not going into the boss's range and pushes away the boss if he/she gets too close, just make sure you do this before they do because your back is vulnerable at this time) after that when I have a safe distance I do ranged attacks and dodge any incoming ones, the way I am doing this, the boss HAS to come closer since the AI forces him/her, repeat this back-off-and-trap strat to eventually defeat the boss.
